The Federal Idea is proud to announce that Mr. Jean Charest has agreed to preside over its Board of Governors.
Premier of Québec from 2003 to 2012, Mr. Charest is a partner at the law firm McCarthy Tétrault. He has served Canadians for nearly 30 years. He was a member of the federal Cabinet from 1986 to 1993, than leader of the Progressive Conservative Party from 1994 to 1998.
Mr. Charest’s considerable knowledge of the inner workings of Canadian federalism and his interest for federations all over the world will be precious assets for our organization.
